Do You Know My Jesus?
Despair, dark like a deep, dark pit engulfing your energy, your thoughts, your desire to move. Because you don't want to. You don't want to acknowledge anything at all. It turns your emotions to numbness, to nothingness. It must be what deep, dark space is like, cold, quiet and silent. Now and then, a little light peeks in and your mind is distracted from this indescribable pit for a moment, only to plunge again when your thoughts return to reality. Our minds are traps, traps for good and traps for pain. The Bible tells us, to "meditate on that which is good, lovely, and of good report." God knows we need light for our darkness, to exchange them. He gave us the spectrum of the rainbow in colors to light up our dark. If you can force yourself to go out of your house in a time like this, look up! God has painted the sky blue, the clouds white, the flowers pink, purple and all shades in between. We were created for light. Do you know? Do you know my Jesus? Who am I speaking of? The One who made the light and the darkness, in Genesis He divided them one from another. His wish and desire for me and for you is to dwell in the light, the light of His radiant love. Do you know my Jesus? He is waiting for you to cry out to Him from your darkness. You will never be disappointed. Unlike us, He will never, ever leave you, nor forsake you! Do you know my Jesus?
